To all registered voters the election was held yesterday, and it surprised many of the NDP party; they lost the majority to the Liberals Christy Clark. This left tons of people wondering how the pollsters could have gotten it so wrong, before the election the NDP had about 45 percentage of the votes and the Liberals were in second with 36 percent. But, The lack of voters that turned out had a huge turn on the tables as the Liberals ended up with the most seats, which is a major upset to most. Majority of the registered voters who did not vote were rather young. Young people asked prior to the election 2 to 1 of young voters said they were going to vote for NDP but ended up not voting at all, which could have changed the whole outcome if they all voted themselves. I believe that the whole reason why the younger people did not vote was because the younger people are not interested in politics unless they want to have a future in it, I personally didn't take part in this election for two reasons, one the fact that I am not quite old enough and I find politics rather corrupt and don't believe voting changes anything. But, if I were too vote I would without a doubt vote for the NDP and their effort towards the improvement of the middle class working man. Like what happen to the days back when you had to barter for everything, money wasn’t a big deal back then.
